Kent Atkinson

Graduate Practicum Student Intern | Supervisor: Kendra Sullivan

Kent Atkinson found healing for his own depression, anxiety, and PTSD through counseling, and is passionate about being part of the healing journey with others. Kent believes that we are all created in God’s image and formed with emotional depth and complexity. It is by experiencing, processing, and integrating our deep-seated emotions that we can transform and heal, as these emotions drive our thinking and behavior.

Kent is particularly aware of the way family dynamics, trauma, addictions, painful memories, and entertainment can keep us from becoming the men and women God created us to be. In his free time, Kent enjoys reading, leading a church small group, grilling wings, and spending time with his wife Kelsey.
