The Sagemont Men’s Ministry seeks to build men who are living proof of a loving God to a watching world by building relationships through community, becoming more Christlike through discipleship, and loving others through service.
The Sagemont Men’s Ministry seeks to build men who are living proof of a loving God to a watching world by building relationships through community, becoming more Christlike through discipleship, and loving others through service.
Throughout the New Testament, we see that discipleship never happened outside of community. In addition, accountability cannot happen outside of community. King Solomon knew this as he wrote in Proverbs 27:17, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Unfortunately, in today’s culture, as many as 60% of men report feeling lonely most or all of the time due to the lack of real, deep, relational community. That is counteractive to the principles found in scripture regarding our discipleship. Community is vital to our health and growth, and the Sagemont Men’s Ministry is committed to building intentional community.
Jesus Himself told His followers to teach and obey everything He commanded them (Matthew 28:19-20). The only way we will become more like Him is through learning what He taught in the Bible and obeying Him as we put His principles into practice. It’s called discipleship, and it is at the heart of the Church’s purpose. The Sagemont Men’s Ministry is committed to building disciples of Christ.
In the Gospels, Jesus demonstrates His love for others by serving them. It was a primary purpose for His time on earth: “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). We live in a church and in a community where many need to see and feel the hands and feet of Jesus through loving acts of service. “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:35). Service is not only an act of love, it also opens the door for sharing the gospel with others. The Sagemont Men’s Ministry is committed to loving others through service.

At the core of everything we do is our focus on becoming more like Christ through Bible study and discipleship. We have a number of Bible study group options specifically for men every week at Sagemont, ranging from Sunday morning Connect groups to weekly online small groups to Midweek seasonal studies to weekly White Flag small groups. With many different times and options available, there is a place for every man to be growing in God’s Word! See below for a list of current men’s Bible studies available through Sagemont.
Twice a year, the men of Sagemont are invited to gather together on a Saturday morning for breakfast and a program. This time of community will be fun and meaningful as invited speakers encourage and challenge our men to become the men that God designed us to be.
The men of Sagemont team together to serve others in our church and/or community with manual labor and/or repair projects two times during the year, once in spring and once in fall. This is a valuable time of showing love for others while also building community among men.
Two times during the year, our men along with the young men in the Student Ministry will come together for a night of focused prayer and worship. Leave the hustle of the work week behind as we unite in one voice and commune with our Lord.

We live in a time when no common definition or vision for manhood exists. BetterMan is that common vision. Generations of men want to be good men; they want to be God’s man, but they do not know how. No one has shown them - no one has given them an example. BetterMan is filling that void. Register HERE.
White Flag is a ministry where groups of men meet together weekly, walking verse by verse through the Bible, for encouragement and accountability.
