SENIOR ADULTS

Our 55+ Ministry at Sagemont are our Seniors.  Our goal is to encourage our people to run the race of the Christian life with perseverance.  Jesus is the founder and perfecter of our faith! 

Hebrews 12: 1-3 says, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and sin which clings so closely and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame and is seated on the right hand of the throne of God.”

As “Forerunners” we continue to run the race – leading the way and leaving a legacy for those who come after us in this Christian journey.  Webster defines “Forerunner” as “one who goes before and, in some way, announces the coming to others.”  Forerunners are in the forefront of prayer, praise and service…examples of Christ-like love for future generations.  This race involves moving forward in our Christian lives, going somewhere – pressing on – knowing that others are following our lead!
